Winners of the Three Point Contest Yanks310, Cavs GM, Director of NBN All-Star Weekend
This page is a tribute to those who have won the Three Point Contest Winners on previous All- Star Weekends. We will have the winners, the participants, the scores, and other things concerning the Three Point Contest.
The Three Point Contest has been taken by the Eastern Conference each year so far and three different winners on three different teams. The Bucks, Raptors, and Cavaliers each have a winner. The Bucks had Ray Allen win in 2002. The Raptors had David Martin win in 2003. The Cavaliers had Lebron James win in 2004. Lebron James has played his entire career with the Cleveland Cavaliers who drafted him #1 in the 2003 draft. King James has been a participant in the All-Star Rookie Game in 2003 and 2004, he was a member of the 2003 All-Rookie Team, he was a All-star Game participant in 2004, and was the 2004 Three Point Competition Champion. Lebron has been the leader of the Cavaliers and become the team's franchise player. He is averaging 22.8 ppg in his career with a career high of 40 points in one night. He has averaged 6.3 rpg in his career with a career high of 12 boards in one game. He also averages 3.7 apg in his career with a career high of 11 assists in one game. Lebron is a strong defender and shooter and he has the ability to run the point. He is only 20 years old and stands 6'7 weighing 215 pounds. He still has two years remaining on his contract and his guaranteed to get an extension. David Martin is an exceptional player who has played in Toronto for his entire career. His biggest accomplishment is coming into the league and getting a Championship Ring in his first year. He played in the All-Star Rookie Game in 2003 and played in the All-Star Game in 2003. He was also a member of the All- League First Team and All- Rookie Team in 2003. He missed the 2004 All-star weekend due to injury but was an All- League Third Team member in 2004. He obviously also won the Three Point Competition in 2003. He is an amazing player that just gets better every season. He has improved almost everything in his game going from 23.3 ppg to 26.4 ppg, from 7.1 rpg to 8.9 rpg, increasing all his percentages, and getting even more minutes from 35 mpg to 39.1 mpg! David is an amazing player that will be battling for a long time to become the top player in the league. He is a 6'10 man playing Shooting Guard at the age of 23 and draining the threes taken at number seven in the draft. No shooting guard in the league seems to be able to stop him in anyway, shape, or form. He has an A for outside shooting and an A- for defense. He has two years left on his contract and their will probably be a fierce fight to sign him, if he doesn't immediately resign. Ray Allen is a veteran sharp shooter that has made his way from the Bucks to the Spurs. He hasn't had any outstanding accomplishments here in the NBN except for his Three Point Contest Winner in 2002. In 2003 he only had limited action only playing in 57 games that year. He has stayed steady around 27 points per game and 5 and a half rebounds per game. One game he was able to knock down 50 points though. His minutes are on the steady rise up to around 40 minutes per game. He is now 30 years old standing 6'5 and weighing 205 pounds. He is still a sharpshooter but hasn't turned into anything more. He has a monster contract that will keep him in S.A. for the rest of his career unless he gets traded.
